Set up on a flat surface like grass, gravel, or sand and toss the small target ball (the jack) to start the game. Players then take turns throwing or rolling their boules as close to the jack as possible. Stand clear when others are throwing, always use an underarm throw, and avoid tossing too high to keep the game safe for everyone. Once the round is finished, gather the boules back into the case so nothing goes missing (or lands on a toe!). Simple, safe, and loads of fun.
